quilted e-book cover

I don't know about other e-book owners, but I carry my e-book everywhere...from room to room to running errands and dr.'s appointments. I have the kindle fire and love it! I spend a lot of time trying to put little ones to sleep and most of the time it is in the dark. The kindle fire lets read and also helps me keep up with Facebook, blogs, and magazines all in the DARK. I always try to take it with me to run errands because you never know if you might get a break, like in the car because the little ones fell asleep and you don't want to wake them, type of break. I have spent many hours in a parking lot or my own driveway reading while a kiddo is sleeping.

We gave my mother-in-law a kindle a few years ago when they first came out and she recently mentioned that she would like the new paper white so she wouldn't need a light on to read. We got her one for Christmas and decided I would try to make her a cover to go with it....and I made one for myself ;)

I used this ebook pattern that I found on Etsy and the fabric is called Type by Julia Rothman....

Perfect, huh? I came across this quilting technique on one of my favorite quilting blogs, Oh, Fransson. --I bought her book when I was first wanting to learn to quilt and I highly recommend it! I would have to say it was the best resource I have and I recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning.--

Hope you like it and please leave a comment and tell me what you think!
