Zakka 2.0 - Poka-Dot Cafe Apron

It's the 4th week of the Zakka 2.0 and this weeks Zakka 2.0 sew-a-long is a cute little café apron. I almost didn't make this weeks because I really don't need an apron, but I really wanted to try out the cute blocks. So, I made the three little blocks and then went to bed to think about what I wanted to do with them. Right before bed, I declared to my husband, "I will make a sewing machine cover!" --because it was eating at him too...NOT!-- As you can see, I did not make a sewing machine cover...hahaha! I decided to make the apron to wear during my sewing class I teach once a month. I am moving around the room a lot and am always running back to my station to grab something. I can now wear this and keep it all with me! bam!

I pulled all the fabrics from my scrap bucket and most of these fabrics were used to make the relishes some dresses. I got the twill fabric from Hobby Lobby. Got 1/2 yard at 9.99 a yard then used my 40% off coupon...so $3. I might use the rest for making some quilt labels. I've been meaning to try out the print to freezer paper method.

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check out LRStitched's blog about this sew along and the Flickr group, too!
