good bye summer camp...

Yesterday was the last day of pre-school summer camp for big relish and will have two weeks with both girls at home before the school year starts up again. Our goals for these two weeks are: to wear our pj's a lot; sleep in till 7 (if i'm lucky); take long naps (so I can sew); sew some fun fall dresses for the girls (during their super long naps); work on my Swoon 2013 and Star Surround quilts; finish up my EPP hexagon pillow...and that's all I can remember on the top of my head but I'm sure there is more. Naturally.

I do want to share a small finish..some quick zippered pouches that I gave to big relish's preschool teachers. Big relish's teacher was so sweet and big relish loved having her as her teacher, but it was also this particular teacher's last day at the school. Boo! I put in a gift card for her as well in her pouch. Her info sheet that the school provides said that she loves cool colors and thought Snap Pop was a great collection to use. I have a charm pack that I cut 10 squares into 2.5 inch squares. I used The other pouch I gave to her old teacher and little relish's soon-to-be teacher. I put chocolate in hers. ;)

I used the busy bean's tutorial found here.

I've pulled some yummy fall-ish fabrics from my stash and some of the bird panels from the new Collage collection from Carrie Bloomston for Windham...I love love LOVE the colors in this collection. So gorgeous! I've heard shops are already selling out so you better grab them if you see it! I got mine from Sew Fresh Fabrics on Etsy.

I took some LOTS pictures of my stash pulls but want to hang on to them for a bit. Plum and June is hosting a new Quilt Photography Workshop that challenges your photography skills. This month's assignment is taking pictures of fabric. Here is a sneak peek of the ones I took and edited.

Here are all the pattern pieces so far...need to trace smaller size for little relish on freezer paper then cut out big size for big relish. It took me an hour just to piece. Most hated part besides cutting fabric!
