fresh new september

Ok, one more month of hotter than heck weather and then we should start seeing some of that fall coolness. So maybe the 80-90s instead of 100+...haha!

Just wanted to share my August finishes for Fresh Sewing Day.

August 2013 Storyboard
1. my pretty little GIANT star surround is finished... 2. Zakka 2.0 - Swedish Bloom Pillow Quilt 3. Zakka 2.0 - Happy Hexagon Trivet 4. Zakka 2.0 - Mail Bag Pouch
5. Zakka 2.0 Market Tote

I feel like I got a lot finished, but when I went to make my collage it seemed a bit sparse. I am getting close to finishing up my Zakka 2.0 SAL and finished the Star Surround QAL. I am joining the Molli Sparkles Broken Herringbone QAL, which kicks off tomorrow. The relishes started preschool last week so I have lots more free time on my hands during the week...of course not until I catch up on my once girls start school to-do list. I saved so many errands for that first week of school and still have more for this week. I did buy some fabric today to start on a special Mr. Relish quilt (sssshhh, don't tell) and still have an itch to make another giant star quilt. So we will see where September takes me.

Thanks for checking in on my month and hearing about my lofty goals for next!

  1. You may not feel like you got much done but at least you managed more than I did!

  5. I still think the trivet is my favorite. I just love it. I checked out the Herringbone QAL and I can't wait to see what you do with it. (And what fabric you pick out!)

    1. Thank you! It's funny how something so small and fairly quick to stitch up becomes a loved favorite. I don't think it will ever get used other than to look pretty on the counter or table. Thanks so much for the visit and sweet comment!
