Zakka 2.0 - Triangle Patchwork Pouch

Back again with my Zakka 2.0 project. I this SAL is coming close to an end and the last few projects are so fun including this one! Going out with a bang for sure!

Zakka 2.0 - Triangle Patchwork Pouch

I do have to say I had quite a few {unexpected} hiccups with this one and used my seam ripper several times on the same exact spot. Don't you hate that!?!? I'm not sure what measurements I did wrong or if the book was wrong, but when it came time to sew the outside patchwork panel to the zipper panel, things didn't line up right. None the less, after a few trims here and there, it turned out adorable and would probably make it again.

I used all the same fabrics from my Market Tote shown in the picture and blogged about here.

    1. Thank you so much!! Not anywhere near a desert...just lots of humidity and 100 degree weather. These clouds were unusually lovely that day. Happy Labor Day! Hope you got the day off.

  3. This turned out terrific! I had an issue when I sewed mine together, unstitched, and then turned the main fabric 90-degrees and it all fit. So not quite sure what that was about. Glad you ended up with a pouch you like though!

    1. I cut out my triangles instead of paper piecing so maybe I messed up somewhere there. I'm quite enjoying this combo, though! Thanks for the visit!!

    1. I collect seam rippers...makes using them more exciting. Haha! My girls are so good to me and let me sew while they play. Benefit for having a playroom/sewing room. Just last night my oldest promised to play nice with her sister while I made her a new Snow White dress. She had outgrown her last one. I was happy to oblige. Lol

  7. a lovely make up bag. I find if something goes wrong I can guarantee I keep getting it wrong so I have learnt if I leave it for a while and then go back to it it usually works okay then, maybe that is just me but that is how I get over a hurdle.

  11. I love that kind of raspberry purple fabric that's maybe a pocket or something on the front of the tote - such a luscious colour!

Anyway, these two projects look great together!

    1. Thank you!! I was immediately drawn to that purple fabric and centered the tote and pouch fabrics around it. I only got a FQ of it but making sure I'm using up every last thread. Haha! Thanks for coming to visit!
